Prompt for 4/30/12


For NaPoWriMo, we are posting a new writing prompt every day. Here’s today’s prompt:

Greek poet Aeschylus wrote these lines: “Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget / falls drop by drop upon the heart, / until, in our own despair, / against our will, / comes wisdom / through the awful grace of God.” Write a poem using these lines as an epigraph. When you finish the poem, remove the epigraph.
